Robert and Casey have such a unique and wonderful story! If you have a few minutes, I would like to share it with you.
Rob was unemployed and was volunteering at Candleheart which is a local outreach ministry. Casey was at a point in her life where she knew she needed a change and reached out to Candleheart and they accepted her into their program. When Rob met Casey he realized that she was struggling, taking care of three children and had much anxiety. As Casey was going through this program she saw that Rob was a very caring and a great mentor to talk to for the residents at Candleheart. She saw immediately how big his heart was and the love he had for others. Casey had come from a rough relationship and didn’t know how she could trust men and was not looking for a new relationship.
One day Casey needed a ride somewhere and Rob wanted to help her. He saw how she relaxed and was more herself around familiar friends. So, he gave her a ride and they got to know each other more.
The next day Rob checked his voice mail and heard that something had happened to Casey and she was sent to the Chambersburg ER. He called and found out she was transferred to Harrisburg overnight. Rob told the director of Candleheart that he needed to go and left to be by Casey’s side. Casey was surprised to see Rob at her side and knew that Rob’s caring and love was genuine. Casey thought that because of all that she had been through that God had failed her. BUT, she knew that God had sent her this man that truly cared for her and loved her.
A little while later Rob proposed to Casey.
Rob: “Loving Casey as I do, it’s finally clear to me now how Jesus Christ could lay down His life for us. I could do nothing less than lay down my own life to be her husband and a father to her children.”
Casey: “We sealed our love on April 15, 2012, with a glorious wedding that I will cherish all the days of my life.”
This is an amazing story! Here are some images from their photo session:
